The project

The Starting Point

Having felt first-hand the transformative effects of Mindfulness in managing stress and anxiety, and in improving overall quality of life, I decided to start this outreach project. My mission is simple, yet profound: to help this practice reach more people, so that more lives can benefit from the clarity it brings.

Dhamma Sati

The Meaning of the Name

Choosing the name Dhamma Sati is a tribute to the origins of the practice and reflects the foundation of what I consider to be the essence of Mindfulness:

Dhamma

Dhamma is a rich Pali word. It can point to truth itself: the way experience works when seen clearly. In everyday Buddhist use, it often means the Buddha's teaching: the path, principles, and practices that help people understand suffering and reduce harm.

Sati

Sati is often translated as mindfulness. It includes remembering to stay aware of body, feelings, mind, and experience.

About me

My path

Carolina Ferreira

I began meditating more regularly in 2014, when I had the chance to join a Mindfulness course organised at my workplace.

At that time I discovered all the potential of meditation practice and, above all, the impact it can have on our lives.

Since then I have kept a regular practice and always sought to deepen it through silent retreats, as well as to discover new practices through courses led by various teachers.
